Jennifer Loftus founded SWING in 2005 with the goal of dismantling the recruiting industry status quo—the standard recruiting service model and sales approach never felt right to her. SWING’s clients deserved an elevated partnership. A mentor at a VC firm told her that there were only two services to choose from—resume spamming contingency or “exec-only” firms with big company networks – not the networks startups need. SWING’s service model includes retained level headhunting and white glove search services for any role, whether it’s a senior individual contributor build-out or startup leadership searches. SWING is now known as a firm that values relationships, a firm that is about zero “sales” and 100% results, a firm that is a true startup partner.
In 2012, Mandy Edmund joined SWING as a partner. Her sights were set on taking the firm to the next level. Together, Jennifer and Mandy forged relationships with leading VCs, startup founders, and key influencers. More importantly, they built something with heart. The result is a cutting-edge talent consultancy that provides high-touch services, encompassing everything from search to strategic advice on how to build out an organization.
